Have you suffered a work injury that is inhibiting your ability to lead the active life you desire? If you are dealing with a work accident or injury, chiropractic treatment can get you back to work as soon as possible, and Chiropractic Care Plus is here to help make that happen.

Not all work-related injuries happen in the construction industry. In fact, quite a number of injuries we treat occurred in the office. Carpal tunnel syndrome and chronic neck pain can be caused by poor ergonomics or poor posture. One misstep on a wet break room floor could lead to a herniated disc. Improper lifting of a heavy box could result in chronic back pain.

One of the most common work injuries we handle on a regular basis is a back injury, which is usually the result of a herniated disc–although poor posture can exacerbate back pain. Many of our patients spend hours sitting at a computer, which strains muscles causing stiffness and soreness. Sometimes the solution is as simple as fixing poor ergonomics at the office, including adjusting chair height, moving the computer to a different spot, or providing back support.

Hours spent on the computer can cause another type of workplace injury known as carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). Patients suffering from this painful condition feel a burning sensation and experience difficulty gripping objects. Swelling around the median nerve in the wrist causes pain from pressure placed on the nerve.

If you have a herniated disc in your spine that is the result of a workplace injury, you will feel pain as long as the herniated disc is compressing nearby nerves. You might also be suffering from neck pain or headaches, including migraines. Chiropractic treatment can provide relief via a variety of adjustment techniques. Depending on what your injury is, your Chiropractic Care Plus doctor will work with you to design a treatment program that will specifically address your pain management needs to move you toward rehabilitation.
